Professional Development Resources
Educators Provide Innovative Instruction Using Windows Media
e-Learning Guru - packed with "how to" articles, templates and calculators in the tool box, dozens of white papers, time saving book summaries and links to the best sites on the net.
Professional Development Action Planner - The success of a professional development program lies in the content of professional development (PD), the process used to create and implement PD, and the staff and students’ learning results. The linkage of content and process is inherent in determining PD’s level of impact on student learning. Staff and students’ learning results should show a strong bond between professional development and school performance. When implemented effectively, professional development contributes to enhanced school performance.
Technology and Learning - Online Professional Development Sources

MarcoPolo Professional Development Program
As the MarcoPolo Professional Development Program
strives to reach every teacher in every classroom in the country, we are looking for input from those responsible for providing teachers professional development within schools--principals and administrators. The MarcoPolo Professional Development Program may soon be available at the school building level. Principals and administrators can offer us invaluable information by taking a few moments to let us know about their interest in bringing this free training into their school. Responses to a short survey will help us to design the program to meet the needs of schools. If you are a principal or administrator, please use this link to get to the online survey: http://marcopolo.worldcom.com/Forms/TeacherTrainingInterest/ttiform.cfm. If you are not, please pass this message along to a principal or administrator, so that we can build the best Professional Development Program possible. In return for the input, we will send respondents copies of our Teacher's Guides, which walk elementary and secondary educators through the rich resources of the MarcoPolo sites, and a colorful MarcoPolo classroom poster. The MarcoPolo
Professional Development Program is offered free of charge to educators around the country through agreements with state and district education agencies. MarcoPoloworkshops are offered on-site and are designed to build educators' skills and comfort levels with using the Internet and the content it offers in the classroom. Workshops are based on high quality, standards-based content provided free of charge through the MarcoPolo and six partner web sites.
