Blessed To Be A Blessing
by Joyce C. Lock

From House to House and Land to Land,
As We Gather to Celebrate our Blessings,
May we also Consider the Blessings of Prayer…
And make this Thanksgiving a
Special Time to also Be a Blessing,
By Praying for Those in Need.

A Note from Chris

Merry Christmas!  Whoa you say! We haven’t even had Thanksgiving yet.  But in order to get the word out about our Christmas Banquet, we needed to send our December newsletter out in November.  That is really rushing the season.  I hope you will plan on starting your holiday season by joining your Delta Kappa Gamma sisters for our traditional Christmas Banquet.  It will be a time of fun and fellowship with much Christmas cheer.  Come decked out in your Christmas attire. We will share a special time together.  I wish each of you a great Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends and a blessed Christmas season.

Christmas All Year

The JOY of knowing you.
The PEACE when you are near.
The LOVE you share daily.

A Christmas Thought
by David G. Bancroft

Christmas is so many things,
wondrous in what it brings...

The little one's joy,
seen in the twinkling eyes and beaming smile,
standing with mommy and daddy in single file,
being next to see the white bearded man in red,
looking forward to the day of jumping out of bed,
to see the promised favorite toy
and the happiness brought for it to be
by old Saint Nick in his sleigh!

The colorful decorations adorned with shimmering lights,
glowing throughout the joyful season's nights,
with many enjoying these beautiful sights,
none more so than the little tikes,

Being with family and sharing,
Showing your love by giving,
Thinking of those no longer living,
Thankful for all your loved ones for being,
Remembering this day's true meaning...

The bright north star,
Three wise men from afar,
Angels heralding and protecting from danger
the little baby boy, Jesus, lying in a manger.
